Tell us about your experience.

In my previous role at a smaller trial consulting firm, I was the sole project manager, responsible for recruitment, legal support, and organizing research events. This experience, combined with years of administrative expertise, has equipped me with the skills necessary to manage complex projects, streamline processes, and collaborate effectively within a larger team at JurySync.

Tell us about your education background.

I hold an undergraduate degree in criminology and psychology from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. During my studies, I contributed to several research projects, including one focused on improving methods to predict mass shootings in the United States. This experience sparked my interest in the intersection of psychology and law, which naturally led me to a career in the field of trial consulting, where I can apply both aspects to real-world cases.

What are you known for?

My dad likes to say I have ‘middle child syndrome,’ which shows in my ability to handle things on my own and make chaotic situations feel less overwhelming. I’m known for staying calm and determined amidst chaos, navigating tough situations independently and making even the most daunting challenges seem manageable. While I feel pressure internally, I remain composed on the outside!

What are you passionate about outside of work?

I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, and unwinding with a good movie. I love spending time with my two tuxedo cats, Jester and Bunny, especially when working remotely. Exploring my new city, Richmond, and spending time at the river has also become a favorite pastime. Growing up in Florida, I was always near the ocean, so it’s refreshing to not have to worry about sharks and jellyfish!

What do you do at JurySync?

As a Project Manager at JurySync, I help manage the recruitment process, ensuring the right research participants are selected for each event. I work closely with external vendors, such as recruiters and banquet managers, to coordinate all logistics. Additionally, I manage the on-site details to ensure everything runs smoothly and the consultants are set up for success.

How did you get in this line of work?  What keeps you in it?

Interestingly, I ventured into the trial consulting field thanks to my college roommate, who introduced me to the TV show Bull. Although I now know it’s a Grey’s Anatomy level of dramatization, the show sparked my interest and I had the amazing opportunity to join the field after college, starting as a recruiter for mock trials. From there, I worked my way up, developing new skills and taking on more responsibility. What keeps me in this field is the fact that no two days are ever the same. I get to travel, meet people from all over the country, and continually develop my project management skills in real-world settings.

What do you like best about JurySync?

What I love most about JurySync is the way everyone plays to their strengths while always being ready to lend a hand. We’re a team of individuals with diverse backgrounds and skillsets, which makes for a dynamic and collaborative environment. This diversity allows each of us to shine in our own way and contribute to the team’s success.

How do you contribute to the success of JurySync clients?

Through the recruitment process, my goal is to carefully assemble a demographically accurate group for each research venue. This ensures that the participants reflect the diversity and characteristics of the broader community, providing clients with a representative sample. By doing so, clients gain valuable insight into how their case is likely to unfold when it goes to trial, helping them make informed decisions and strategize effectively. This approach not only builds confidence but also strengthens the overall research process, ensuring that each event provides actionable and relevant data.

Where and how did you grow up?

I grew up with my dad and two siblings in West Palm Beach, Florida, where the ocean and our backyard pool were a huge part of my childhood. Whether it was snorkeling in the Florida Keys or relaxing on the sandbar, the water was always a big part of my life. Now that I’m in Virginia, I miss the ocean, but the mountains here have definitely captured a piece of my heart!

When do you think, “Man, I love what I do”?

When I collaborate with the research team to support our consultants and see how everyone’s strengths come together. It’s also incredibly rewarding to interact with research participants from across the country, learning their unique perspectives—whether it’s their verdict leanings for a case or a local restaurant recommendation for the team to try in a new city. Witnessing how these insights shape our work and contribute to delivering impactful results for clients has always been exciting to me.
